You gotta focus on what you want, how you approach it, and why you're even doing it in the first place. The goal is to enjoy the process of your daily life, only for your upbringing to magically lie someone into your arms. You can't make a s/o pop out of nothing from just merely thinking, you gotta go out there and actually use the things around you to form relationships with people. Like going out to the library and meeting someone you'd never had thought you could have. The best growths sometimes come from just meeting the person that you would have never even thought to be friendly. Best honest advice I can give is to simply be yourself, know who you are (and by that I mean be confident in your abilities and truly understand who you are), and be able to provide for her something that she can't do for herself. Sure, some will say that true love isn't based on looks and status, but it's definitely factored in both the long run & the short term.

Trust me, she can smell it on ya if yous a bitch, so don't go into it looking for some lust if you want it to work out for a lengthy period of time. just work on yourself as a person and make a better life for yourself, get a couple hobbies and work towards some goals and go out and experience the world, and you'll get one along the way and probably have the time to make sure it's a good thing you can handle and would actually want.

I've never met anyone who got a girlfriend just from "looking for one" when they didn't have anything going for them and when they're desperate to do so. And even the people i knew who somehow did had everything end in tears quickly.

It's also important that you work on yourself and be yourself FOR yourself. It'll be immediately obvious if you do things hoping it'll impress girls.
